AIWF welcomes a new global communications partner

The Arab International Women’s Forum was delighted and honoured to welcome award winning regional agency, Memac Ogilvy & Mather LLC as its exclusive Global Communications Partner. The Ceremony to launch this strategic alliance was held in Beirut, Lebanon on 6 July 2010 when Mrs Haifa Fahoum Al Kaylani, Founder and Chairman of AIWF, and Mr. Edmond Moutran, Chairman and CEO of Memac Ogilvy signed a Memorandum of Understanding. This landmark collaboration is jointly aimed at raising awareness of women’s achievements and advance their empowerment and participation in the economic and public life in the region.

Memac Ogilvy started its operation in Bahrain in 1984 founded by Mr. Moutran, considered one of the pioneers of advertising in the Arabian Gulf, with only four people, one client and US$13,000 capital. The company has now expanded to thirteen offices, in the MEA region and he remains Chairman and CEO of the Memac Ogilvy group for the Middle East & North Africa.

The company offers advertising, public relations, direct marketing, activation, planning and creative services to a large portfolio of clients through its 13 offices across the Middle East and North Africa. This wide geographical coverage, along with its group of some 500 professionals, gives the company a unique insight into different segments of the Arab markets.
